Handmade.
Real Leather.
At MARITZA, every pair of women's shoes is made from full-grain and top-grain leather, chosen for its texture, durability and feel. From the upper to the lining to the insole, every surface you touch is genuine leather.
All of our leather comes from Derimer, our own in-house tannery. That lets us oversee every step from raw hide to finished shoe, giving you full traceability and a quality that stays consistent season after season.
The handmade process
Design & Pattern Making
The shoe model is designed and lasts are prepared for each size and form. Cutting templates are made for every leather panel.
Leather Selection
Quality genuine leather is selected and inspected for surface flaws, with color and texture matched across the pair.
Hand Cutting
Skilled hands cut each leather piece to the patterns, one at a time, checking every panel as it is cut.
Upper Stitching
The leather panels that form the upper are stitched by hand, with lining, reinforcements and decorative details added.
Lasting
The stitched upper is pulled over the last and shaped by hand, then adjusted for comfort and a clean silhouette.
Sole Assembly
A leather or rubber sole is prepared, hand-glued and stitched where needed, then pressed for lasting durability.
Finishing
Edges are trimmed, then dyed, polished and buffed, with the stitching and overall look checked one last time.
Quality Control
Comfort, stitch quality, sole strength and appearance are inspected. Only flawless pairs are sent for packing.
